Ice Ages

Ice Ages

The huts rest on the frozen lake,

groaning softly as their joints ache

in the cold glow of the setting sun.

All is still but the breath of the land.

Fathers and grand sons

sit side by side,

until one becomes the other,

raising men from the earth.
